The Problem
Why most acoustic treatment gets it wrong.
Standard foam and wedge absorbers are highly efficient at mid and high frequencies. They do almost nothing below 250Hz. The result: a treated room that is over-absorbed at the top, still reverberant at the bottom — an imbalanced RT curve that sounds worse than no treatment at all.
Sentiro's approach is different. Our diaphragmatic absorbers are engineered so their absorption coefficient curve mirrors the room's reverberation time curve — resulting in a flat RT across all frequencies.
And we're careful not to over-absorb the high frequencies. Rooms treated with Sentiro retain their natural liveness. Low frequencies become tight and controlled. The room feels alive, not dead.
